Welcome to the Oxford Academy community blog

Oxford Academy Campus

Welcome to our new community blog. In this space we will share our thoughts and ideas about the benefits of an Oxford Academy education as well as new initiatives at Oxford.  Members of the Oxford community, past and present are welcome to submit blog articles for review.  Our goal is to inform, celebrate and learn together.

Our community is humming along with a sharp focus on thriving as we traverse the fall season.  This year opened with more opportunities for field trips, access to all that the town of Westbrook offers and competitive sports back in action.  We are elated to be communing for meals in our dining hall and outdoor pavilion again.  So many great conversations take place as we enjoy Chef Dave’s delicious meals.

During their free time the boys are finding their way to the beach to swim, fish and relax.  Weekends are active with trips and on campus activities including archery, horse shoes, frisbee, golf and bocce.  Ox Outdoors, our new experiential outdoor program takes our boys to the wilderness and water to hike, paddle, climb and bike.  The new Stone Student Center is humming with student activities and programs.

Recent visitors to campus have included school colleagues, college representatives, alumni and new candidates for admission. After so much time with restrictions, we are pleased to be open to outside visitors again.

We hope you enjoy our blog entries and welcome your feedback.  If you would like to submit an entry or a question, please reach out to us at admissions@oxfordacademy.net.
