Oxford Academy is currently looking to hire a full-time Spanish teacher. This position could be either a residential or day faculty position depending on the experiences and desires of particular candidates and that distinction will be discussed with applicants and is explained more below. A successful applicant must be outgoing, personable, and prepared to act as a model community member. Oxford is a small all-boys boarding school where teachers work with grades 8-PG. The “Oxford Method” involves individualized instruction and curriculum to best educate our diverse student body. This method is implemented in a one-to-one classroom environment. Candidates who are native speakers or who possess degrees, or significant abroad experience with the Spanish language, will be strongly considered. Oxford is at the forefront of authentic, personalized learning and is looking for individuals who will bring flexibility, innovation, and professionalism to this important work. *If it is determined that this position will be a residential position then the following factors need to be considered:
Duties in addition to teaching Spanish: helping supervise a dorm of 20 high school boys, participating in extracurricular offerings such as sports, leading trips, etc.
Compensation: in addition to salary, on-campus teachers are provided with modern apartments and board.
