Launching a Journey from Student to Visionary Leader
An alumnus from the Class of 2006, Evan Powell returned to Oxford Academy’s campus years later, not just as a board member—but as someone deeply committed to its continued excellence. His leadership is a testament to the lasting impression the school made on him. Oxford Academy
Entrepreneurial Roots and Civic Leadership
Evan earned his degree in business and communications from the University of Colorado. While still in college, he founded Full Sails Entertainment, a production and promotions company launched in 2008. Returning to Los Angeles fueled his entrepreneurial journey, leading to the creation of Mobile Charging Lockers and Select Lockers—internationally recognized ventures he successfully sold in 2015. Guiding Healthcare with Heart
Following the sale of his company, Evan co-founded Key Healthcare, a Los Angeles–based organization dedicated to helping teens struggling with mental health and substance use challenges. Grounded in compassionate, evidence-based care, the organization offers residential, partial hospitalization, and outpatient treatment programs to support adolescents and their families toward resilience and recovery. Community and Advocacy
Evan continues his service as a member of the MusiCares Young Ambassadors Program, a nonprofit effort under the Grammy Foundation that supports musicians in crisis. He also serves on the host committee for Safe Place for Youth, which provides safe havens and fresh starts for homeless youth in Venice, California. Outside of his professional commitments, he enjoys snowboarding in the mountains and surfing in the ocean. Oxford Academy
