For students who would like an additional year to prepare for a successful college experience, Oxford Academy offers a program of individualized instruction geared toward building confidence.
The town of Westbrookis a quiet, traditional New England community located on the shore of Long Island Sound near the mouth of the Connecticut River. Twenty-five miles to the west is New Haven and Yale University, and to the east is New London and Connecticut College. Wesleyan University in Middleton is just to the north, and Hartford, with Trinity College, museums, theater and historic sites lies 50 miles away.

Directions by car
From the North (the Hartford area)
Take Route I-91 South to Route 9 South (towards Middleton and Old Saybrook) to Exit 3. Turn left onto Route 154 and then right onto Route 153 (towards Westbrook). Take Route 153 south to the center of Connecticut*
From the East
Take Route I-95 South to Exit 65. Turn left at the end of the ramp and proceed on Route 153 south to the center of Connecticut.*
From the West
Take I-95 North to Exit 65. Turn right at the end of the ramp and proceed on Route 153 south to the center of Connecticut.*
*From the center of Westbrook
Bear left at the Town Green and turn left at the light onto Route 1, the Boston Post Road. Proceed east 1/4 mile to the campus on the right. Turn into the parking lot immediately after the blue and white Oxford Academy sign.
From the Old Saybrook Amtrak Station
Drive west on Route 1 to Connecticut. The CT boarding school is on the left just past the U.S. Post Office. Turn left into the parking lot immediately before the blue and white Oxford Academy sign.
Directions by train
Oxford is served by Amtrak’s Old Saybrook station with connections along the Boston – NYC – Washington DC corridor.
Directions by air
Bradley International Airport, north of Hartford, is just a little over an hour’s drive from the school, as is T.F. Green Airport in Providence, RI.
The NYC airports are a little over two hours away. Limousine service is available to New Haven, where taxis can be hired for the 30 minute drive to Westbrook.
